Emily and Tom got married! This is so exciting, because now I have a brother in law!!

These pictures of the wedding party were taken right after the ceremony. It's good that they aren't close up because I was bawling during the ceremony! I was so happy for my big sister.

Yesss time for the reception! Which means open bar. Which means these three were the first ones drunk.

Oh my god I love this girl.

So apparently her friend works at a furniture store. And I gave her my bouquet, but I don't remember doing it because I was blacked out, or "too shitfaced" as my mom said.

So pretty much everyone was wasted when the dancing started. It was crazy. Everyone do the cha-cha slide!

hahahah Kim is wasted.

Seeing all of my beautiful Corona girls, even furnishing alcohol to Paige!
Kimmy getting her drinks confiscated, singing with Kate, getting crazy with Bobo, dancing with all my friends, seeing my sisters, seeing Emily so happy... one of my best memories so far!! (what I remember, that is)

Costa Rica is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been to.

The beaches and our hotels were amazing, but I think my favorite were the Cloud Forests.

Basically my family and I had the time of our lives...we traveled all around Costa Rica, just relaxing and a lot of the time drinking. I believe that our parents paying our bar tab was an especially nice Christmas present...just charge it on the room!

This is one of the little reggae bars in Playa Carillo, where we experienced the "tico" party scene with the bartender from our hotel

beers at the bar...we were stoked that our parents were being cool about me drinking...that is, of course, until my dad found out about the "chipitos de la tequila" katie and I took. My mom might have been amused by tequila shots...I don't think my dad was so much.

So at our last hotel, my sisters and I decided to drink by the pool. Katie and Betsy found coconuts and played survivor, smashed them open and started to eat them.

We thought that this was so funny, that we brought the coconuts to the lunch table, ate the meat and tried to get the bartender to serve us drinks in the empty coconut shell.

I highly doubt my father and mother were amused by our inebriation, but they pretended for this picture.

One of the best times was when we were in the highlands playing drinking games with the owner of our hotels son, when Katie blacked out and wandered into the Costa Rican jungle "looking for coffee berries"

haha this is the morning after that incident...she looks only slightly hungover.

Meals were also a favorite time of mine, because we were all together.

My parents also liked to check out housing complexes to get ideas about what they wanted to do. This particular complex was owned by a German man and was absolutely AMAZING!! This is what you should do Dad!

yeah...I guess I could live here :)

Finally, we decided to take a "zip cord" tour of the Costa Rican jungle! It was really fun, and we saw cool animals like a tucan, and a sloth, and these little leaf carrying ants...

But I am sorry, anyone who says flying through a jungle on a zip cord isn't even a little scary is lying. They are just lying!

And that was Costa Rica!!!

I miss you Costa Rica, I can't wait to see you again!!!

This weekend was absolutely out of control. Like, ABSOLUTELY out of control. We had fun guests, dressed up every night, the streets were blocked off, and it was just a giant party. It was awesome, and here is some pictures of the craziness..

FRIDAY NIGHT - STARBUCKS GIRLS

Friday we threw together costumes to be starbucks girls, because none of us had anything else to wear. Little did we know, our costume was crazy popular. Balconies of people chanted "STARBUCKS!" at us, and we ran around spraying people with whipped cream, letting people spray us, licking it off...it was wild!

SATURDAY NIGHT - ANGEL

This was a great night because I got to spend it out with Bobo and Booba, woo hoo!! Also, Brooks came down and surprised me by coming over in a full face mask, I was so stoked! Bryan kept getting molested by guys with me and Kate, and I thought that was funny. I also fell down some stairs this night...but it ended up being okay! And Mike and George stopped by, that was awesome.

SUNDAY NIGHT - INDIAN

So now it is ACTUALLY halloween, and I've been partying three days straight. We had HORDES of people in our house this night, and it was people screaming, loud music and booze everywhere. It was fun.

Kate won best costume in my book.

We ran into some crazy asian crazy eights, and some hot ass crazy eights..

...Booba took them out Beatrix style HOI YA...of course, this was before her sword was confiscated.

I'm glad it happened, it was an awesome weekend, but now I'm sicky and I need to rest. Okay love you all KISSES!!

So I have not updated with pictures in such a long time! I have so much of my life to SHOW you, that I had to make this ginormus post! All these pictures are from Fall 2004 of my Sophomore year at UCSB, in the lovely town of Isla Vista (unless noted otherwise)..we'll start out with my beloved home, roommates and friends...

PARTYING AT 6709 DEL PLAYA (my house!!

These next pictures are from the very first party that we ever hosted - OUR LINGERIE PARTY!! It actually turned out to be a huge success, with most of our very best friends stopping by at some point in the night, and we got pretty much every guy shirtless, if not in his underwear! :)

However much I would LOVE to pretend that my life is one big fat party, it is not. I do the everyday monotonous things too - riding my bike to class, taking midterms, eating and cooking food, lounging in my PJs, going to the gym (rare, but it happens) and playing with my friends. But ya know what? A lot of times those everyday things turn out to be just as much if not more fun then drinking all the time! Who wants to do that anyway?

This is a typical night - Caitlin working on a comm/english paper, and Lis, Eri and Meems getting ready to head to the library to study for their Bio midterm. Me, I just finished making tostadas for dinner and doing the dishes with Cait, and now I have to do my HW too, after I play with the camera, and maybe watch a movie with Melly

So last weekend I went to visit some of my absolute FAVORITE people in Berkeley (including my Tita) and here are some pictures of the ride up, drinking and chillen at Pat's, and pre gameday activities. The actual game day celebration pictures are on Katie's camera, so I don't have them. But these are awesome anyway...look, it's BOOBA AND BOBO!!! :)

Okay, so the elevator in Pat's apartment building is like a mirror and reflects your face. I think that I look creepy, but Caitlin looks kinda cool.

Man, good times gettin drunky with the Long Beachians, passing out at Pat's like four times, snuggling with my big sister and being pampered by Lis's parents (including having them do our laundry! Lis's parents are the best!)

So now it's time for me to get to my Psych reading, because I'm going to be up for awhile. It's raining, it's pouring, la la la la and I wish that Nick would call me, but he's at school, and I'm in a good mood and I love all of you!

we went to encinitas this weekend to visit danny and brooks and the palomar baseball team. we stayed at danny's house and had a fantastic time. lis took all these pictures - i'm still working on getting my camera fixed. i wish i could show you more of my summer, but i have no camera, and this trip was too fabulous NOT to document.

done a lot actually. definitely gone to the beach a lot, during the day to lay out or to a bonfire...

gone to the movies A LOT. and i mean a lot. actually, i love this evil picture, haha. i've gotten my head stuck in that thing twice. my favorite movie of recent times has been THE NOTEBOOK. tear-jearker, chick-flick. I LOVED IT.

painted katie's room, and succeeded on dropping an entire can of paint onto her bedroom floor. whoops. as my grandma said, at least i found a room other than my own to dump a can of paint in.

got to see and party with casey marks, which is always fun! woo hoo for next door neighbors.

played more spades and texas hold 'em poker tournaments than i can count (and all with katie and pat i might add. pat may rule at poker, but katie and i dominate at spades) katie should have gone mellow with this hand.

had a family bbq, with a lot of my family and my cousins, who are some of the cutest little people you will ever meet. awww.

and i got to see one of my best friends in the entire world, miss mimi moras!!! we hung out with sigma chi austin and gregor and their friends in hermosa, and went to AVP the next morning. soo fun.

yay for having summer fun. i only have one more week before i move up to santa barbara... but i shall try to make the best of it!

when we first came to santa barbara, we didn't know what to expect.
no families, no house, no familiarity.
from day one...we partied like rockstars.

PARTYING

these include the nights that we'd drink in FTizzle and wander out to DP

ISVT
the craziest day party included many open frat barbeques, sorority girls duking it out on the volleyball courts, and beautiful people everywhere running around in bikinis and trunks

Laughlin
however, one party in particular didn't stop one night, but went continuously for four days straight. i, of course, am talking about ATO's laughlin trip.

HOLIDAYS
holidays were another excuse to party with your friends. pre-college, you really celebrated the family-oriented ones, such as thanksgiving, christmas, valentines, etc. however, at college, the most important holidays are those associated with 1)alochol, 2)smoking, or 3)dressing up slutty

therefore, the biggest holidays in my life switched to halloween, 420, st. patricks day, and cinco de mayo when i came to UCSB.

halloween - not much to say about halloween. one square mile, 100 thousand college students, not very much fabric to cover things...this was all insanity. insanity. to insane to capture on film.

420 - too lazy to take pictures. no one moved in the dorms, just sat with their friends and tripped.

St. Patricks Day
so. much. fun. that i can't remember it!

Cinco de Mayo
by far one of the craziest days in sb. laying out and celebrating the mexican tradition had never been more fun.

My Birthday
birthdays are also another reason to celebrate good times with your friends. my birthday was no exception. my best friends threw me an unforgettable bash, dubbed JENN A PALOOZA to celebrate. and we definitely did.

STUDYING
however much it seemed like it, partying is not all we were at UCSB to do. we did study, and get our shit done, so we could stay in this college paradise. sometimes i'd bring my camera to the study room to make tedious study sessions a little more fun.

THE DC
our little saved by the bell 80s regurgitation dining commons. this is where we came together every day, sometimes hungover, sometimes drunk or blacked out,sometimes to famished to breathe, but always representative of social hour and shitty food (and the time we broke the cup. haha)

POOLTIME
once the warm weather started, we would be out at the FT pool almost every day, no exceptions. pool days were the best, including bbq days and the night we went skinny dipping.

STARBUCKS
also unforgettable was my small work stint at starbucks. it didn't last long, but it was fun. barista, whaaat?!

FRIENDS
this is the most important section of this entire, long as hell entry. it is true that a lot of college is fun and games, but it is hard to be away from home for so long. i recommend making as many close, trustworthy friends as you can, not only to hook up with them eventually but also to have someone who can be there for you, and you can look forward to spending the next four years becoming closer with.

ATO
immediately dubbed "our favorite frat" after meeting and hooking up with like half of them. by the end of the year we were getting invites every night to hang out with those boys, and they became like our band of brothers. i love them all!!

...especially you matthew. our communal best guy friend, matt has been through our ups and downs, and i personally feel a very close connection with you. much much love to you englishman.

SIGMA CHI
we attached to these stoner/surfers specifically for their laid back attitudes, because their crazy partiers, cool guys, and let's face it. they're hot. mimi and i especially had a thing for lurping on these boys. i can't wait to hang out with all of them again.

...especially tyler (aka ty law) he is so fun and such a cool guy to hang out with, even though he gives me lurpy eyes and has convinced me that i am the weirdest person alive. we all miss you ty, can't wait for august.

9TH FLOOR BOYS
however, i feel that throughout the year, our closest guy friends, biggest dramatic ups and downs, most of our love and anger and jealousy and comfort came from the boys two floors up (plus our raymond and cory) that we lovingly dubbed "the ninth floor boys" we went through hanging out every night to not hanging out to crying and laughing and talking and studying...these boys are the greatest.

and our joy of our lives, LUCAS!! lucas has been the most steady source of comfort and advice, and being such a good friend throughout the whole year. he is always there for us and stood by us, even when no one else would. i love you so much babuh and couldn't imagine this year without you.

TRI CHI
and last but certainly not least, the girls who helped me make it through my first year of college. these girls are everything to me. EVERYTHING. my best friends, my sisters (my twin!), my gurus, my go-to girls...everything. we've been through so much, i can't even describe to each and every one of you how much you have impacted my life. hands down, you're my best friends forever.

and so went the creation of tri chi. my housemates! we are the coolest. and everyone loves us...see? haha. i love you girls so much.

and there is my life of the past nine months.
i'll miss you FT.
but i'm stoked for summer with my LB homies.
